Who we
are.
Mindzeye Films was founded in St. George's, Grenada in 2020 by Andre Hayes and Kate Masaltseva — an accounting and finance professional and a cinematographer. They met while studying in Shanghai and returned to Grenada to build a production company with a different kind of ambition — one that sees the Caribbean through a different lens.
We are a growing production company serving public sector clients, private enterprises, and international organisations across Grenada and the wider Caribbean. Our work includes documentary, commercial, institutional and social content — delivered with the discipline of a professional finance-managed operation and the creative ambition of a company that believes in what it makes.
We believe great work is rarely made alone. Over the years we have built a trusted network of freelance professionals — cinematographers, sound engineers and production coordinators — who we bring in as the project demands. We also collaborate with other production companies where our strengths complement each other, because the best results often come from the right people working together.
We are based in St. George's, Grenada, with the capability to produce across the Caribbean region and internationally.
The Team
Andre Hayes
Co-Founder · Financial Director · Producer
With a background in finance and a Master of Professional Accounting from Shanghai National Accounting Institute, Andre brings over 20 years of experience across multiple industries. His transition into film production in 2020 has led to the successful direction and production of over 60 audiovisual projects across Grenada, Trinidad and China. He has participated in notable programmes such as EURODOC Caribbean and the OAS Film Development Lab. Andre manages the business, produces projects, and ensures every production is delivered on time, on budget, and to brief.
Kate Masaltseva
Co-Founder · Creative Director · Cinematographer
Kate Masaltseva is a Creative Director, editor and cinematographer with a rich multicultural background and a passion for visual storytelling. After studying finance, she transitioned into filmmaking to express her creative voice, bringing her global experiences from traveling to over 30 countries. In 2024 she completed a Certificate in Creating Dynamic Images at Universidad de las Artes de Cuba through the UNESCO Transcultura programme. Her international production credits include Below Deck Season 11 (Bravo), The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Bravo), The Fortune Hotel Season 2 (ITV) and Below Deck Down Under Season 4 (Bravo).
